It felt like she just got us, but we knew that she would add her own creative touch to the photos too. On the day she was such a beam of light to have around, making everyone feel really comfortable getting ready and capturing so many in between moments that we didn't even notice at the time.
Her work has such a natural undertone to it, the candid style of photography adds so many special memories to what can sometimes look staged or posed. My name is Ruby and I am a wedding photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand and available anywhere both locally and internationally.
My approach to photographing is warm, intimate, nostalgic and full of quiet, in between moments. This is demonstrated through my deep love for analogue photography and the innately sentimental effect film photography offers.
I live for capturing the moments that are full of heart and soul. In a pared back, effortless, candid and intimate way. My approach to capturing a wedding is best described as documentary-style with an editorial edge and I am here to bring your modern love story to life.
My favourite part of a wedding day is the warmth and joy that radiates around the couple throughout. I will be there beside you to capture the laughs, the tears and the secret kisses in between… I will also be there with my attentive eye for detail to fix a dress train, adjust a tie or two and make sure everyone’s hair is looking perfect.
I may or may not shed a tear during speeches as well (it has been known to happen).
